Okay so real talk, if you collect Funko Pops you have probably caught yourself wondering whether there is a figure out there made just for someone born on your exact birthday. I went down this rabbit hole myself and it turns out yes, this is a real thing, and once you know where to look it is honestly such a fun little project. Grab your birthday, pull up a search bar, and let me walk you through it like I’m just telling a friend how I did it.
Why this is actually a fun thing to do
It sounds small but there is something genuinely satisfying about having a Pop on your shelf that feels like “yours,” not because it ties to a movie or show you love, but because it is tied to literally the day you were born. It also makes a great gift idea. Instead of guessing what fandom someone is into, you can build them a birthday themed figure and it instantly feels personal. Plus it gives you an excuse to go down a fun little internet scavenger hunt, which honestly might be my favorite part of collecting in general.
Step one, figure out your zodiac sign
Everything starts here. Funko has an official Pop! Zodiac line where Freddy Funko, their mascot, gets dressed up as each of the twelve astrological signs. So the first thing you need is your sun sign, which is based purely on your birth date.
Let’s use an example. Say your birthday is May 6, 2007. That date falls under Taurus, since Taurus covers birthdays from about April 20th through May 20th. So if that were your birthday, the very first thing you would search is “Funko Pop Zodiac Taurus” and see what pops up.
Quick cheat sheet so you do not have to look it up separately:
- Aries, March 21 to April 19
- Taurus, April 20 to May 20
- Gemini, May 21 to June 20
- Cancer, June 21 to July 22
- Leo, July 23 to August 22
- Virgo, August 23 to September 22
- Libra, September 23 to October 22
- Scorpio, October 23 to November 21
- Sagittarius, November 22 to December 21
- Capricorn, December 22 to January 19
- Aquarius, January 20 to February 18
- Pisces, February 19 to March 20
Step two, search for your sign’s figure
Once you know your sign, search “Funko Pop Zodiac” plus your sign name. Going back to our May 6, 2007 example, that search would be “Funko Pop Zodiac Taurus.” The Zodiac line has been around for a while and keeps getting fresh drops, with newer versions showing up as recently as 2025 and 2026, so depending on when you search you might find more than one version of your sign to choose from.
A heads up though, some of the earlier releases in this line were limited runs, so if your sign’s figure was part of one of those early batches, it might cost more on the resale market than a brand new release would.
Step three, check where to actually buy it
Once you know what you are hunting for, here is where to actually look:
- Funko’s official shop, your best bet for anything currently in production
- Entertainment Earth, great for finding both new stock and older exclusives
- eBay, honestly your best shot at tracking down discontinued or limited editions
- Pop Price Guide or Pops.today, useful just to check what a figure is actually worth before you pay for it
Step four, think beyond just the zodiac sign too
If astrology is not really your thing, or you just want to get more creative, you do not have to stop at the Zodiac line. Some collectors build out a whole “birth month” themed shelf instead, using birthstone colors, flower of the month designs, or even grabbing a holiday themed Pop if your birthday lands near a big one. None of this is an official Funko category, it is just a fun way collectors personalize the hunt even further.
Another fun twist, pick a Pop from a fictional character or real celebrity who shares your actual birthday. Using our example again, if your birthday is May 6, you could search “celebrities born May 6” or “characters born May 6” and see if any of your favorite franchises line up. It turns the hunt into something a little more personal than just astrology.
Putting it all together with our example
So let’s recap using May 6, 2007 as the example birthday:
- That date falls under Taurus
- Search “Funko Pop Zodiac Taurus” to see current and past releases
- Check Funko’s shop, Entertainment Earth, and eBay for availability and pricing
- If you want to go further, look up what birthstone, flower, or even celebrities are tied to a May 6 birthday for extra inspiration
That is genuinely the whole process. It takes maybe ten minutes once you know your sign, and then the fun part is just deciding which version you actually want on your shelf.
